Summary
Specialised has been engaged by Vicinity to oversee the design management and upgrade of a new consolidated tenancy at the Emporium in Melbourne’s CBD.
This project involves managing the delivery of the tenancy consolidation, including the procurement and engagement of consultants. The services upgrade for the new tenant includes installing a dedicated chiller and boiler, upgrading the main switchboard, adding new air handling systems, grease traps, and waste lines, and performing lift upgrades. Significant structural modifications were also undertaken to accommodate new services reticulation to the roof plant area.
Specialised oversaw the town planning submission for building and façade modifications, managed early contractor engagement and cost planning, and reviewed existing building services and capacities to advise on any necessary upgrades for potential tenancy mix changes.
