Specialised was responsible for the design, documentation, and delivery of a Honeywell/Siemens interface for Crown Towers on Level 39, integrating the standalone Siemens Building Automation System (BAS) into Crown’s site-wide Honeywell BAS/Enterprise Building Integration (EBI) system.

This project aimed to demonstrate the openness and integration capabilities of the protocols, fostering a competitive environment for future works.
Key tasks included preparing a business case justification to secure capital expenditure for the project, interfacing with existing fire control systems, and using Honeywell design tools to replicate the Siemens interface on the Crown headend. The project faced several challenges, including the management and coordination of two high-end BAS competitors, ensuring continuity of operations during the integration works, and providing training for in-house engineering staff following the project’s completion.
